Superstar Rajinikanth has decided to act in Raana movie that will be directed by KS Ravi Kumar. Rajinikanth will be playing triple role in Raana, as per the news sources. It will be co-produced by Eros International and Ocher studios. Rana is a trilingual and will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth’s new film ‘Rana’, the most talked about projects in the industry, will be launched on 20th of April at prestigious AVM Studios in Chennai. Along with Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone will also be seen in the film.

AR Rahman scores the music and Ratnavelu handles the camera for Raana. The technical and special effects director will be Soundarya Rajnikanth and Charles Darby of Eyeqube Studios. Editing will be done by Anthony and art director is Rajeevan. Raana will be ready for release in 2012.

Ever since Rajinikanth came out in open supporting social activist Anna Hazare's fast unto death in his fight against corruption, lots of rumours have started to crop up.

Sources say Rajinikanth has openly announced his decision to join Hazare in his crusade. Meanwhile a section said it is a prelude to hi entering politics.

However sources close to Rajinikanth revealed that actor was mightily impressed by Hazare's effort. He even wanted to go and personally congratulate him. But couldn't do due to his previous commitments.

But the big mnan is keeping quiet. Rajinikanth has put all speculations to rest and is preparing himself for this next film Raana. Directed by K S Ravikumar, the movie features Rajinikanth in triple roles. Hence the actor is working day and night to get his makeup right.

The wait still continues for Rajini fans.

Everyone seems to cash in on Rajinikanth's name and fame. His old movies are remade and his film titles are being recycled and young heroes copy his style.

Political parties are keen to get his support. Going one step further director Rajesh Kannan. He has used his name for his movie's title . He is directing Peruman : The Rajinikanth. But that has nothing to do with Rajnikanth. It was just a ploy toi make heads turn and see the film.

The movie stars newcomers Arjun and Shruthi and it supposedly an romantic entertainer. Shooting for the movie is on.
